Hi, I am Ja'Nell Hall-Ragin.
I am a published photographer based out of Philadelphia, PA. I am currently published in Voyage LA, as well as The Thicke Project featured for New York Fashion Week '19. I began my photography career in 2017 after college. I saw a great need for an affordable photographer to capture the lifestyle of creatives to help broaden their portfolio. What started out as a favor turned into a long-term business.
My overall mission is to capture artists in the most natural form. As much as I love photoshop, I try my best to maintain the beauty and uniqueness of every client with light, to moderate retouching.
When I am not capturing the lives of my wonderful clients I am in fact in front of the screen. I am an actor and currently work at the Walnut Street Theatre. My connection to the craft allows me to dig deeper and tap into the needs of the client and what it is they are looking for.
My goal for J. Ragin Photography is not determined by the quantity of clientele but by the quality of the work that will allow my clients to come back for more. I value my client's time and vision and strive to bring the best experience to every shoot.
If you've ventured onto my website, thank you!
