Hi, I'm Ja'Nell.


Photography started as a creative outlet in 2017, shortly after college, and grew into something much bigger than I ever expected. I saw a need for affordable photography that helped creatives build their portfolios, showcase their talents, and bring their visions to life. What started as a favor became J. Ragin Photography, a passion project I continue to grow alongside my everyday life.


Balancing a full-time 9 to 5 with my love for photography has taught me to appreciate every opportunity to create. For me, it’s about more than taking pictures. It’s about connecting with people, celebrating their individuality, and helping them feel confident in how they show up in the world.


I’m also an actress, so I understand the vulnerability that comes with putting yourself out there. Being on both sides of the camera helps me connect with my clients and capture images that feel authentic to who they are.


My goal is to create more than beautiful photos. I want every client to feel seen, confident, and excited about their images. J. Ragin Photography is a passion I continue to grow one session, one connection, and one creative adventure at a time.

Booking a photography session is easy. Simply reach out to me through email, or contact form and let me know the type of session you're interested in. I'll guide you through the process, discuss your requirements, and find a convenient date and time for your session.

How long does a typical photo session last?

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Portrait sessions typically range from 1 to 2 hours (unless you're booking a mini session). I strive to provide ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. My editing process typically takes 2 business weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. I prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.

Are Deposits Non-Refundable?

All deposits are non-refundable and required at the time of the booking. All proceeds go towards the booking of the studio. (Rate may increase according to the hours booked).
